With all the house mods out there Im surprise no one did anything with this house. After the Dark Brotherhood quest it becomes yours. Now I know you really cant fool with it due to it will cause conflicts for the dark brotherhod quest, but what if someone set it up that after the quest you can buy upgrades for it. Another idea is that you can have it transfer into some type of store or Inn that you will own since it has plenty of bedrooms upstairs. Well I would get more into detail over what or could be but mostly just curious why this house was left alone.

I can think of a few reasons:

-If someone was going to make this into an ownable Inn, that would require people to have done this DB quest. And people who are into hospitality arn't normally blood thirsty assassins. Then again, maybe they are.

-Conflicts with the quest. It can happen, but its nto a big step to overcome.

-If someone was going to make an ownable tavern/inn, they would probably just make a new building somewhere else.

Modding the building isn't too big of an issue, you could do alot of stuff that is initially diabled, then enabled when conditions are right (using a non-furnished version of the building to place the new set of furniture so that you can plan without one thing getting in the way of the other), and the same script could probably be used to disable existing furniture. You could even just enable/disable doors which would link to two seperate interiors. Getting around the quest isn't too hard if you're willing to do some scripting.

The hard part comes from figuring out what to do with that other space. Everyone makes house mods, and most the people playing the game only end up using one or two houses before they have trouble finding their stuff (moving stuff from one into another can also be a real pain). Setting up your own inn is a pain in and of itself, without having to work with an existing structure. Even using an alternate interior, this would still be rather difficult. You would also need to create your own patrons and staff since townspeople wouldn't enter the building normally (or maybe even after cohersion if you used a seperate interior due to the door situation).
