Edit the hands in 1st person view

Hello there, I've been wondering if there is a way to edit the hands that are shown in the 1st person view. I explain: I've the SLOF's better bodies installed and of course this adds the claws to the Khajiits and the Argonians, and I'm obviously playing as a Khajiit ^^, and when I see the hands in the 3rd person view I see the claws but when I go into 1st person they disappear :/, the only way I've found to solve this is by wearing the claws as a ring but this is kinda lame because it removes a slot that could be used with a magical ring :P

I even used Nifscope and added the claws to the hand.niff and replaced it on _MALE folder... and that added the claws for me... and for everybody else! X3 so watching Imperial guards with claws was a bit... how to say it?... DISTURBING X3

Anyway if someone can help me here I'd be more than grateful.

Cheers,

Ragark

All I can suggest is using the tail slot in first-person rather than a ring slot (since you can't see your tail).

But that will remove the third person tail, which is displayed (under usual circumstances) in the inventory menu.

I've never had a 'third person tail' displayed in the inventory menu with Better Bodies, Better Beasts or any other mod of this nature I've used. I think you may be confusing Slof's mod with some other offering. In any case, the tail is irrelevant in first-person view.

What i meant was that the view of the character in the inventory is of the third person version, so if you put something in the tail slot you will not see your tail in the inventory screen. But I agree that the tail is irrelevant in first person view.

This is what this all started with. The claws in Slof's BB are part of the tails, so they are not visible in 1st person, as the tail slot as a whole is not even considered to be rendered there.

To get the claws visible in 1st person they need to become part of something which is actually rendered in 1st person, which there is not much to begin with. However, including them in another body part, which there are no other non-globally-used ones than the tails, will of course make them show up on all other races as well. Sadly I don't know of a simple way to achieve claws in 1st person while only on beasts. All of my own attempts are floating around scripted equipping of custom bodyparts when a slot is empty or even exchanging regular items' visuals by adapted ones fitting the beast's new anatomy. But this is a very convoluted way and requires all items you want to wear to be adapted first, or sacrifice their visuals for something generic but with claws. This, however, will then also render in 1st person pretty fine, as it's part of an item definitely showing up in 1st person.

Unfortunately that's as close as I myself could get so far. The number of slots even considered to be rendered in 1st person being limited to something around hands (+ rings) and arms and maybe some parts of the upperbody really is a pain when it comes to these things.

edit: I've read there's a differentiation between "armor" shield slot and "clothing" shield slot, making them both render simultaneously. So maybe this will work, considering shields should be displaying in 1st person. And what use is a "clothing" shield without protection and such, anyways?
