realmzjetter
I've recently gotten into wanting to make new assets for New Vegas. And before I try putting in a completely new model, I figured I'd try a hand as just editing an existing one. My first attempt was changing the Hunting Rifle into a pistol (works great except for not being able to use the right animation) And next decided to try my hand at armor. So I took the NCR Veteran Ranger armor, took the coat, and shortened it, since I don't like the whole coat sticks to your legs deal.End result was this.http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20964973/NCR_Ranger_Jacket.jpg So I go to bring it into GECK, make a copy of the existing armor, and replace the model with this one. This results in this lovely imagehttp://dl.dropbox.com/u/20964973/NCR_Ranger_Jacket_Geck.jpg I've even tried just opening the original Armor in Blender, and deleting everything I wasn't using, and I still get the above result. To my knowledge it still have all the weight maps correct and everything. I am simply at a loss as to what to do. Thanks for any help you can give, or simply reading, I've been frustrated with it, and just typing this how has already helped my mood.
Korodic
I know this isn't the most helpful advice, but you should know your bound to be frustrated when #1 it is your first strong attempt, and #2 when you jump straight into it without having a good source to take examples from. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRcu7fbRBlA This may be worth the watch. Not entirely sure, as I don't do this stuff myself.
nivea
Looks like to me you have skeleton issues, make sure you delete the skeleton that you imported with then select all the meshes and import a new fresh skeleton. Good easy to follow tuts:http://sites.google.com/site/sickleyield/home
