xXlakratoXx
Then what should I buy for a gaming laptop instead of mac or alienware? I need a laptop not a desktop because it has to be portable, so what would you suggest me?http://www.ibuypower.com/ibppages/Notebook.aspx or you could try to dig one out of newegg.com Thanks for your post but I think about what laptop I should get but the mac book pro is definitely out from my selection so there are the Asus and the Alienware.Because I wanna buy the laptop from ebay I need to be an official brand like Sony, Asus,... not custom made ones where you can choose the processors, graphic card etc. like Battalion
xXlakratoXx
Alienware isn't very expensive in ebay I found some m17x sold for $800 with nvidia gtx 430m, intel core 2 2x2.91, bluray 8GB RamThat's cheap for a gamer laptop.
yoba333
Both are nasty. Sager ftw! But unfortunately they don't come with the flashy flashy lights like the Alienwares/Dells. http://www.xoticpc.com/custom-gaming-laptops-notebooks-clevo-sager-notebooks-ct-95_51_162.html This is what I would suggest too. I bought a Sager NP8170-S1 a couple of months ago. It can play every game I've tried on the highest graphics, and hasn't any major problems at all. I would definitely suggest you take a look at Sager. Edit: And I did buy it from XoticPC. No troubles with them at all. xXlakratoXx
I decided myself for the Sager thank you very much for ur opinions but one last question: for gaming is a quad core w/ 1.6 GHz or dual core 2.5 GHz better?
yoba333
I would go with the quad core.. From what I read, clock speed isn't as important as having more cores...I wouldn't exactly count myself as an expert on this matter though.
arcane20
I would go with the quad core.. From what I read, clock speed isn't as important as having more cores... ahhh no god no. dual core 2.5 GHz all the way. 1.6ghz is far to slow for gaming even with 4 cores. Other than that alienware laptops are made for gaming and macs are not, it's as simple as that.
Draakon
It depends on what CPUs we are talking about. You just can't say that a 2,5 GHZ dual core is better then 1,8 GHZ quad core. If xXlakratoXx would enlighten on what CPUs hes talking about, I can tell which one is better.

Here is a link in ebay what i wanted to buy for gaming:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160634727589&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:ITDo you think i could play BF3 and otehr high resolution games on it? Draakon
No one can say for certain what you need to play BF3 even on lowest, but don't bother getting a laptop for gaming. For the same amount of money as that laptop, you will have a 2x better desktop computer that you don't need to upgrade it for 2 years at least.
