If DA:O was a made into a movie...

Naw the only logical choise is rebel mage (male) cuz chicks r weak & they know it lol jk (not relly). He goes early on to the berciulian forest and discovers the path of brave mages (arcane warriors) and abandons his slave robes of the tower. Then he will charm his way threw relations & eventually embrace his true love morigan and they will raise there super devil lord gray warden baby strong ;) the end templars beware!

ok, i was wondering... What if Dragon Age origins was made into a Movie. Who would you pick to play all the characters? Which Origin would you Chose? Which side would you pick with the Dwarves? Or with on the Nature of the Beast? Or the Broken Circle?

 

I think the most Movie Like would be

 

Human Noble Origin (male)

Siding with Lord Harrowmont

Siding with the Dalish but convincing Zathrian to undo the curse

Taking the Mages side in the broken Circle

 

As for cast:

 

The only person who really springs to mind for any character is Helen Mirren as Wynne.

A few years ago, I would've also suggested a hair-lightened Nathan Fillion, given it was Mal who Gaider based Alistair's ultimate looks on (Mal from Firefly's looks mixed with Xander from Buffy's jokey self-deprecation). Fillion's too "Castle" now, though.

 

Human noble (female), kick-arse realistic warrior (ie, not Xena, but also not running through the snow in high-heeled shoes and leather pants a-la Kate Beckinsale, either).

Marries Alistair

 

Morrigan's ritual: optional, depend if the final act is supposed to be either sweet or bittersweet... The Cousland noble is actually in line to the throne *ahead* of Anora and the Guerrins as the surviving member of the "Second Family" after the Theirins... presuming Fergus abdicates.

 

My dearest wish is to see Anora executed for her complicity in her father's crimes (Erlina's an "escapee" from Orlais, do we really think that Anora doesn't know that Cailan was planning to punt her for the Empress?) I would also like to see Howe SUFFER.

 

Other possible cast members (bearing in mind that a "group" movie can only bear one or two A-listers):

 

Cailan: Scott Speedman, presuming Josh as Alistair. Maaaybe Jensen Ackles, if he can nix his Texan. <-- probably not Or Michael Rosenbaum (with his hair)

Leliana: Alexis Bledel if she can go redheaded (yes, I know, Gilmore Girls and all, but she's grown up!)

Duncan: Hugh Jackman, bearded up. Alternatively, Andre Braugher, with beard.

Morrigan: In a perfect world, Claudia Black. But, Hollywood would probably deem her "too old" for the younger Morrigan, now, so as a backup, Claire Forlani.

Zevran: anyone BUT effing Orlando Bloom.... this is not LOTR ;-) Ryan Gosling is probably pretty enough for it.

 

 

As for my main character?

 

Not too fussy, so long as she's not some skinny rake who couldn't lift a sword if her life depended on it (I'm looking at YOU, Keira Knightly, Summer Glau and Kate Beckinsale) and hasn't been over-exposed. Taylor Cole would suit.

 

If they decided to go blokey, Steve Amell. That is all. :D

So many good choices already. Banderas as Zev., Mc Kellen would be an awesome first Enchanter Irving, Ron Pearlman as Sten... All of this makes me wish for a real DAO movie

But it's still a web series set on DA universe. Having DA2 or Origins doesn't make a difference.

 

So not true! DAO and DA2 are two different dices on the table! Beside the DA2 story wasn't even close to DA Origins standards.

 

 

If they would make DA Origins as a movie, I would hope they would make it with all Origins in it.

 

My idea would be similar like what I already included in my FanFiction of Dragon Age Origins.

 

The main character would be either human noble Cousland or the Mage. One of 'em would be recruited during the Joining of Alistair and so would be about his experience with the dark spawns. The City Elf was also one of their Joining brothers, but he left with Ryordan for Orlais. The dalish elf was not rescuit by Duncan, but by Ryordan near Orlais borders and became a Warden under his Order. The two dwarves joined together in the deep roads during the exil and maybe an escape. Both found and joined the Legion and defended the city against the blight ever since. The Warden and his gang could meet them during specific missions.

 

Example:

• Meet the dalish Elf during "Nature of the Beast"
• Meeting the dwarves during "A Paragon of her Kind"
• Meeting maybe the other Mage during "Broken Circle"
• Meeting the city Elf during the missions in the Alienage in Denerim

 

This way you could include all the Origins and make all the people happy :smile:
