lanceuppercut47
am a bit confused as to what this does, take the gobi for example: (taken from the fallout wiki) dmg/attack: 48 (51.8) DPS: 102.9 (133.3) DPS (reload): 49.7 (67.9) crit dmg: 80 crit chance: x 2 attacks/sec: 2.14 (2.57) AP: 24 projectiles: 1 spread: 0.018 effect: Bonus critical damage, Bonus critical chance does this somehow do extra on top of the 2x chance to do the 80 critical damage? or does it double up (hence the 2x) on the 80 points of damage so a bonus critical hit = 160? *confused* if i make an armor and add bonus critical damage (to the armor), will it apply to weapons i'm using? drakeelvin
This is the official GECK page that describes what we know about how damage is calculated. Weapon Damage Forumula Critical damage is added to all other weapon damage and it ignores damage resistant but does not appear to ignore DT. The bonus 2x chance is applied to the chance to score a critical hit, it does not affect the damage. Critical Hit Chance Formula

drakeelvin
yikes complicated! cheers for the links.. It is complex :) One final note that is important: if you get a sneak attack your damage is x5 damage (New Vegas GECK, Game Settings) and I believe it ignores armor (DT) but the page says "we're not sure" exactly how it is calculated.
