7thsealord
Could be wrong, but I seem to recall that there are major problems with running FO3 on quad-core systems. I know that one has to be careful with how FO3 is installed on Win7 systems. May want to check on both of these, if you haven't already.

quicksilverva
go to My Documents / My Games / Fallout 3 open FALLOUT.ini find bUseThreadedAI=0 and change it to bUseThreadedAI=1 enter iNumHWThreads=2 directly below bUseThreadedAI do the same for FalloutPrefs.ini and fallout_default.ini

quicksilverva
falloutprefs should be almost identical to FALLOUT, so it should be there as for fallout_default, its in steam / steamapps / common/ fallout3
gulerodden
it is most definately not there... also the FalloutPrefs is like 1/4 of the length of the Fallout.ini :)

prandiningrat
i only have the Fallout.ini file with bUseThreadedAI=0...its not there in the FalloutPrefs.ini and i dont have Fallout_default.ini I think you only need changing fallout.ini bUseThreadedAI=0 and change it to bUseThreadedAI=1 add the line iNumHWThreads=2 under that setting...(there is no iNumHWThreads setting by default)...I suggest using AkelPad for editing ini files...
