Spitfire_Ire
Hi, Being a veteran of Morrowind, a year ago i bought Oblivion and immediately starting adding player 3rd party mods to it, i never completed the game and uninstalled it a few months later. Recently i have reinstalled it with intent to finish it and also bought the soft expansion Knights of the Nine and the hard expansion Shivering Isles; reinstalling all my favourite original player mods i noticed that some dont work at all anymore or dont work properly, and im assuming that Oblivion has progressed so much now using these older mods would cause system instability for the ones that are glitchy, for example Reznods mannequin no longer works and causes major instability in the game! Could you guys help me find more recent versions of the mods i list here? here are the details: CURRENT OBLIVION VERSION WITH EXP PRE-MODDED: 1.2.0201 CLEAN SAVED STABLE GAME WITH STABLE MODS DLC FrostcragDLC Horse ArmourDLC Mehrunes RazorDLC Spell TomesDLC Thieves DenDLC KnightsDLC OrreryDLC Vile LairDLC Shivering IslesTikigod's BT Mod 2.20Slap & Modman's Illumination Without 1.0Seniofrito's Improved Lava 1.5Max Tael's Improved Water & WeatherBaleur's Timescale 5xVA Better GoldCerasines Crosshair Size Reduce 1.1Joshawowo Better Horse Eyes 2.0Someone1074's Capes & CloaksJason Krausher's Satellite Cyrodiil 1.0Xebeths Horse Commands & Saddlebags patcher w/ DLC Horse Armour 1.2 MODS NO LONGER STABLE AND DAMAGE GAME, SAVE OR COMBO Reznod Mannequin 3.0 (shows no conflicts but screws game up)Passive Wildlife (shows major clashes with official DLC Knights mod) CURRENT VERSION OF TIMESLIPS MOD MANAGER: 0.7.0 CHEERS GUYS... Malchik
There is no conflict with any of the official mods. There are however various patches that you need to install for Oblivion and Shivering Isles and I think they may have to be loaded in a specific order. The official forum would be the best place to look unless someone else here has the info.
Sypron
If you're using shivering isles I think that you don't need to patch oblivion. Oblivion auto-patches with SI. HOWEVER: you do still need to patch SI and do it soon (theres a pretty serious bug in SI that ruin's your game after its been installed for a certain amount of time, go get the patch). As for your incompatible mods, try using "Docile Animals." Its Si compatible.
DrGary
cheers dudes... Ok got patch. In my opinion Docile Animals is a must, you cant travel 5 feet in Oblivion without something leaping on ya lol...and back in the good ol days Passive Wildliffe Mod was the most stress freeing mod for me lol so ill go find it and hope it works. Shame about Reznods Mannequin and a few others though Mannequin Mod was awesome, havent been able to find anything else and when i emailed him he said very clearly to go away as he had retired lol... You guys feel free to list any mods here you give kudos to, since my new reawakening of oblivion ive installed Capes & cloaks which is awesome and a mod to make merchanting more balanced thats about it really...
