Is there a way to get multiple uses out of an item without having to r

I've been going through all my mods, fixing them to my tastes and merging them into categories. I've come accross the Canteen mod and as I'm trying to sort all the items in my mods I'm finding it difficult to sort these as there are about 10 versions of the same item because the canteens have been set up for 5 uses so there have been 5 different instances of the item for each type, Clean and Dirty, so I'm wondering if there is some way to keep the multiple uses, but remove the need to swap out the canteens with every use, and instead just have 2 items, 1 full canteen, and one empty.

 

Also is there a way to make one accept more then one type of liqud without needing more then 1 entry?

Yes but you'll need to rewrite the script most likely.

I'm not really a scripter, I've looked at the mods that add a single multi use canteen and I can probably modify that script, so that would work. still don't know about more then one type of drink from them though, so it should just stick to water, cause that's easiest.
