Silvarz
Since I know most people often don't take anything long and in detail serious I'll put a short and a long detailed version Short: We need (or at least me) some Light based summoning spells ... A very good example and what i want it to look like That means I want to see a summon spell using that particular armor. And yes it has to be a summon and not putting that armor on a companion since I only get 1 set of armor Long:I understand that this game (Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion) Is primarily about saving the world from oblivion and the like but I would certainly like a summoning spell that has the beauty and elegance of some of the nicer mods. I somewhat recently downloaded this fantastic mod called "Throne Armor" I personally just loved it. Lovely isnt it? Around that time I also thought about how rare it is to see (or at least for me) A nice mod with clothing/armor like that. And even more so to see a mod that changes or adds summoning spells! (i searched "summon magic" and didn't get many results ... none of which were nice either) So I was thinking ... Can some one PLEASE make a mod that lets us summon a character similar (or better yet, IS) like the picture from the author named "Light" Maybe even have higher tiers of the summons that go from Ultra Light, Light, to Heavy. though personally I don't like the chest area of the heavy armor as the chain appearance isn't nearly as nice as the Light armor. Also a sword or the 2h sword would be preferable for the weapon of choice. P.S. I searched "Angelic Summons" and did not find any results ... so hopefully there are no any duplicate mishaps. Silvarz
This mod allows you to summon an angel Midas Magic Spells of Aurum Yea but as the long version states. It would be all the more fantastic if it had the Throne Armor version. (which is what i want) That and im not ready to download that spell compilation there. bencebence
It could be made easily, if I'm right...Just make an NPC using that armor and then:http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/How_To_Create_A_Custom_NPC_Summoning_SpellAnd there you go :P EDIT: You have to load in BOTH Oblivion.esm and the mod's esp to make the armor useable. Silvarz
So like I basically do those steps there but .. How would i put that in its own .esp or the like? ...I don't want to unintentionally edit the "real" Throne Armor.esp also would you mind looking at it? When i open it up in CS all i get is info that certainly doesn't look like the mod as it doesn't include the custom textures, it has the clothing labeled "jailpants" or stuff like that. and it has the player under NPC male (character is female and that is the only variation of the armor) So i am totally confused here ... course there is a chance im just not opening it right or something
bencebence
So, you select Oblivion.esm and ThroneArmor.esp (Don'T know its real name) but DON'T SELECT ACTIVE FILE. When it says that you didn't select one, you just say yeah, I know that, and when you made everything, you can save it into a separate esp, which will depend on the armor's esp. I hope I'm clear :D
Silvarz
Yea you are fairly clear, so it sets those 2 to be their "parent files" right?
bencebence
Yeah, and then the armor will appear as a "vanilla" armor.
Silvarz
I followed This Tutorial and after about 3 tries i finally did it perfectly attempt 1, saved the script wrong and even though it was an object script (instead of spell) I somehow found my "NPC Summon" walking around the Imperial City market ... no idea how or why. (had the working Throne Armor except for the wings/halo) I then scrapped the project ... gone forever ... wish i could have saved it since that was my closest attempt so far (it was more like an un-official companion) The spell was useless as it apparently did nothing) Attempt 2 .. making good progress and then the thing crashed when i accidentally tried to edit something i was also scripting ... Attempt 3 Followed the instructions seemingly perfect ... It appears the "Summon" is hostile towards me ... i unchecked the "Hostile Effect" and its about the same. So i lowered the aggression level and it just sneaks everywhere ... in a store.*edit for Attempt 3*Nevermind i figured it out, instead of checking "Allow swimming", and "Allow Fall" i put always sneak and swimming I suspect the problem is somewhere in either the spell script or the AI script ... Still cant get it to use the armor from the mod though ... I would like to really mention that It needs to depend on This for the armor to work Edited August 15, 2011 by Silvarz
bencebence
So, if you loaded the armor's esp at the begining, you must make the npc use those armors.Firstly open the npc and navigate to its inventory tab. Then in the object window go to armor, and there, if you look around, you should find the angel armor. Just look at its ingame name, if you're not sure. Then just pull the armor to the npcs inventory, and Voilá, the npc will equip that armor.
