Hey, i got a problem with Geck. So i'm making a new mod and for the first time i'm using custom made textures ( Remade textures from the New Vegas vanilla textures ) i have done everything in Nifscope and that so i wan't to import it into geck, but i want to make it so that i can send the textures with the .esp when i upload the mod. So i made a folder named Vault 32 ( in the \Data\ folder ) and i activated the archive invalidator that came with FOMM, then i put the mesh and textures in this file path:

\Data\Vault x\vault slide door\

Now i made a new door in geck and went over and try to add my mesh to geck but when i do it just says "Invalid directory".

I have tried to put the mesh in the main fallout mesh folder then it works perfect, but i don't wan't to send all the main mesh and textures, just the one for my mod.

Thanx fro any help on this kagstrom2100

They HAVE to be in the mesh/texture folders just create a sub directory for them ie textures/mykoolmod/awesometexture.dds ect.

duh. this is common practice

But i have seen some mods use a .bsa file outside the textures ( or any other fallout folder )

iirc the files packaged inside those .bsa file mods retain the same file structure we are advising you to use. the .bsa file is like a .zip, .7z , .rar, etc (sort of). Same goes for the games default bsa files, these also hold the same file structures that must be reflected in the games data folder.
