csargemg Posted August 11, 2011 Share Posted August 11, 2011 The Wattz 1000 is my favorite weapon in all of Fallout. So I was pretty stoked when I saw that it was included in this Project Nevada. Great mod (especially when mixed with a little of XFO's perk/stat rebalance) but the problem is that there's a messed up attack animation for the Wattz pistol. I am using Project Nevada + WMX with the associated compatibility patch. Oddly, though, it's selected in the compatibility patch as AttackRight and not Attack3, which is what the other laser pistol uses. When I try to change that, even with a new little minimod or by editing Project Nevada - WMX, I can fix the issue with the animation but no matther what I do when I try to go to the wattz in the inventory the game crashes. I double-checked that the path to the icon dds is right in the GECK, but still, crashing. When I try to edit the Project Nevada - WMX file myself, the game fails to launch, rather just sticking at the window with the ranger and the six-shooter. Any help would be greatly appreciated! schlangster Posted August 12, 2011 Share Posted August 12, 2011 Hm yes, it's a bug in the WMX patch, it still has the wrong attack animation there.And the problem is, if you edit a file in the GECK that depends on several masters (like the WMX.esp), which do not have the master flag anymore, everything looks right in the GECK, but it'll not save the file correctly. So1. Get FNVEdit and start it2. Just press OK, it'll load up your load order.3. In the left list, search for Project Nevada - WMX.esp and expand it.4. Search for weapon and expand it, then search for Wattz Laser Pistol and select it.5. Scroll down the window on the right until you see 'Attack animation'. Drag and drop Attack3 on AttackRight to use the correct animation from PN Equipment in PN WMX as well.6. Press strg+s to save your changes and close FNVEdit. Went into FNVEdit, and it was already set to Attack3 across the board. However, when I look at the pistol in my inventory, the game crashes. The only mods I have are Project Nevada (and Extra Options), WMX, and EVE, along with their patches for one another.
