Prenihility
Am i the only one that feels it doesnt make sense that you gain infamy for completing Thieves Guild quests? I mean, sure...you're a thief, but i never felt an evil and dark ambiance as i did with the Dark Brotherhood. The Thieves Guild never felt "Evil" to me at all. Now i am contemplating joining the guild, although i really want to. I love the fact that every questline has its own rewards, which are awesome, as do many side quests/quests in general. This leads me to my next question. I never intended my current character to be "evil", but quest rewards from quests such as the Dark Brotherhood are tempting... What do YOU guys think about Infamy in the Thieves Guild? Think it's wrong? Or do you think it's Right? ; and how did you go about shaping your character's Fame/Infamy? AlfredTetzlaff
Hi,IMHO infamy points for Thieves Guilld quest are ok because they are after all some kind of organized Crime Syndicate :) Usually, after doing all DB and TG Quests, Iam going on the Pilgrimage from the Knights of the Nine addon. This Quest resets all Infamy Points to zero
Dionysiac
I always found it disappointing that the Thieves Guild only offered monetary rewards for completed quests. Surely such a syndicate would come into possession of a great number of rare items? For the Grey Fox to offer around 500g for certain missions just seemed like a paltry sum and whilst the final reward is cool, there were no quests left that really required such a stealth boost! By contrast, the DB gives you items throughout that are both useful and cool. As for the infamy aspect, I find it appropriate that one gains infamy, but a little odd too. How can one have gained a measure of widespread infamy if your crimes were presumably never linked directly to you? As for repenting your sins via the pilgrim's way, that's all fine and well, but you're still technically the Grey Fox and/or the DB's Listener! There should be a certain infamy base requirement in order to maintain your position in such factions. If you go all pure and virtuous, I doubt either of those groups wouldn't hear about it.
