Marcus Wolfe
Hi.I am making some pictures with Paint and uploading them to a website. This website only accepts JPEG files.Paint makes BMP files.I can convert BMP to JPEG HERE.But the pics are about 800 Kb.The site can't convert above 512 Kb. There is another Option.A download that will convert above 512 Kb, as well as batches. But it costs money. And I'm cheap.Solution?
Vagrant0
You're missing the more spectacular thing... Someone can actually make something with MS paint that doesn't look like a 3 year old just borrowed the computer. Seriously, MS paint sucks and is virtually useless for anything other than sticking blobs of squiggly test on stuff... In which case, that's so original, and everyone will think you a genius for doing it. As Peregrine said, MS paint saves in .jpg as well as many other formats. As bmp tends to be a needlessly large filesize for most cases, nearly all painting programs (can't think of a good one that doesn't) support multiple file types because size, clarity, and use are all different. MS paint in particular has supported multiple file types since the windows 3.1 days, and probably even before. I even have a few DOS programs that operate with multiple file types. So... What rock have you been living under?
Marcus Wolfe
I've been living under a rock in the Rocky Mountains (just kidding)So, all I have to do is replace the .bmp after the file name with .jpeg?

You need to open up the file in paint and save it as a .jpg. They are different file formats, if you change the extention, it'll be trying to read that file as a .jpg when it is really a .bmp. Renaming also wouldn't affect filesize in any significant way.
