zane675
Hello everybody, I am having a bit of an issue with the Wrye Bash program. I drag the unofficial oblivion patches (or any other mod) into the bash installers folder, but when I try to install them through the Wrye Bash programs install tab, they don't show up. I think the problem is because for whatever reason I do not have the bashed patch 0.esp file. Now I did quite a bit of looking around and the only other piece of information I found that related to my problem, told me to take that file from the "extras" folder. Problem is, I don't have that folder either. However, I do have the Oblivion Mods folder in the Bethesda Softworks folder. I also have the Mopy folder in my main oblivion folder. The program also works fine with BOSS. So this all leads me to believe that I installed it correctly. The version of the Wrye Bash I downloaded is Wrye Bash 294 - installer. If I am missing any crucial details, please feel free to ask me. Edited August 13, 2011 by zane675
MShoap13
BAIN requires archives to have a certain file structure in order for it to install them. The reason they aren't showing up is because they don't have that file structure. Some mods are so big, and have so many options that packing them in an archive in the correct file structure would be more confusing than otherwise. These mods are typically intended to be installed as OMODs in OBMM.
zane675
Ok, I understand what you are saying, Let me explain my situation in more detail. I am trying to install FCOM. I am following a youtube video that shows you how to go about installing it. I have the same unofficial patches as him, and he simply drags the archives into the "bash installers" folder. Obviously this isn't working for me. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why he can do it and I can't? Or should I go about doing this a different way. For example, use obmm and then use Wryn Basher to load it with BOSS? I'm not exactly familiar with this process... PS: thanks for the help, I honestly expected this to go by unanswered lol
zane675
I figured out what my problems were If the files arn't showing up under the installers tab, then right click in the white space and click enable If you dont have the bashed patch 0.esp and you dont have an "extras" folder. then look for it here: Oblivion Mods > Bash Mod Data > Backups folder Feel free to lock this or delete this if needed
ImagineBreaker
I am having the same problem following the same you tube video (lol). i look in Oblivion Mods > Bash Mod Data but all i get it Table.dat instead of backups folder thank you very much for sorting out the issue with my installers, that is now fixedI still don't have the bashed patch 0.esp but. this is day 3 of me trying to install FCOM :( also i am using steam, I've look around and found steam has no problem installing FCOM
zane675
When you are in your bash mod data folder, open up the folder "Backups", if you have it. I found mine in there. I've read that it can also be found in the mopy > extras folder Edited August 14, 2011 by zane675
zane675
When installing the FCOM mod the "bashed patch 0.esp" file was showing up red in Wrye Bash and the game ctd'ed, Everything works fine if I boot it up without the bashed file, but for obvious reasons I would like to get it working correctly. Do I tick off DLC that I do not own? I'm not sure what the problem is Edited August 14, 2011 by zane675

zane675
Just take that file and put it into your oblivion > data folder I HIGHLY recommend making a copy of that file, Right now my problem is that every time I try to rebuild the patch, the bashed patch 0.esp gets a red box and a red check and I crash to desktop when launched. BOSS isn't giving me any errors or anything so I'm not sure whats up. I think it may be because I don't have any of the DLC's. If someone could explain more about the DLC part of the installation process that would be great. Keep in mind I have no DLC's at all. I downloaded and installed UnofficialOblivionPatchv3.2.0Manual.7zUnofficial_Official_Mods_Patch_v15_Manual_Version-9969.7zUnofficial_Patch_Supplementals-27710-3-3-7.7z Now because I have no DLC should I get rid of the mods patch? If not do I untick them in the installer tab, mods tab, or the rebuild patch process Edited August 14, 2011 by zane675
MShoap13
Yes, get rid of the UOMP. And if you don't have Shivering Isles make sure the mods you're trying to install don't require it.
