You know how some swords are so heavy the carrier must keep it down sort of dragging it along with them I want that as the idle and the running animation in the videos theres 2 examples of this one in which the charector holds the sword with 2 hands and the other where she holds it in one. Sigulbard Posted August 22, 2011 Share Posted August 22, 2011 (edited) That would suck for the blade... dragging the sword against a stone road. A pretty nonfunctional positioning of the sword, too. The max amount of weight a (functional) two handed (biggest, meanest, war)sword could have is about 3.5 - 4 kg (5 pound?), so not heavy at all. lgpmichael Posted August 23, 2011 Share Posted August 23, 2011 As someone that has actually used a proper two handed sword in a fight in battle re-enactments, I have to say, no, there isn't any good reason for dragging a sword along the ground.
