hi there,

i hope one of you can help me with this^^

2 weeks ago all the fallout dlcs where on sale and i thought i'd take that bargain... but after downloading all of em i can't play new vegas any more due to the "this game is currently not avaiable. please try try again later" error message... the reason i'm posting this here is that for the last couple days i searched the net for related issus and did ALL the troubleshooting fixes for this "known" error (great steam sure knows it's bug, yet still can't prevent them from happening?). so yeah

i updated every part of software/ hardware possible on my cpu

i reinstalled steam

i reinstalled fallout nv

i tried all the different .exe files

i vertivied all the files (through steam... only stange thing is that every time i get a 808 bit file reinstalled that doesnt show up at all in my folders... yes every time i vertify my files)

i tried all of the things above a second time with the "administrator rights"

but still i cant play my own game... so thx steam "y u do that?!" ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

 

anyways... anyone of you encountered this problem/ knows how to fix it?

i'd really appreciate any help

I'd recommend trying to rename your ClientRegistry.blob thing first

yeah... that site was one of the first i checked out... so i did all the common troubleshooting stuff

took me quite some time to figure this bug out, but now i have the reason... for all of you who might encounter the same issue.

since i have the steam version and on top of that i live in germany, steam has some files changed to reduce it to a low violence version. i could not start the game whatsoever and just got stuck in "this game is currently not available" pop-up. and no matter how many times reinstalled all the files it just wont work.

 

the solution to this was so ridiculous that it made me cry on the inside; go to steam-> library-> fnv-> properties-> language-> and check if it's german. if not change it to it and you'll get quite some updates. once this is done it sould run again.

 

for me it was just ridiculous, since i run all my games in english by default, but the add-ons require fnv to be launched in german settings or it just wont start at all.

finaly i can play the addons to this game (i purchased months ago). also dont bother with the customer support... they apperantly dont know jack how to solve this, even thou it was so simple.
