This can happen with either a small arms, energy or melee weapon. When the enemy is killed, they explode. This can cause random death's and makes the game much harder to play. The problem is that I'm not sure what mod is causing it. Has anyone experienced this? Or can anyone guess what might be causing this? I would really appreciate the help. Thank you. Sieg5857
As I research this and am doing my best to figure out what it is, I am starting to think its XFO Enemy AI revamp due to a post by another user I found during a search who was having an identical problem. He said that despite turning it off, it wouldn't stop. I'm going to update the mod and see if that fixes the problem, if Not I'll see what happens by turning it off... I'll let you guys know how it goes Edited August 15, 2011 by Sieg5857
Sieg5857
Alright so more specifically. Enemies explode when they are dismembered, because I could cause the explosion error after dismembering a dead enemy. Updating the mod did not fix the problem. Perhaps, turning it off will... I'll update you after trying this.
Sieg5857
The explosions appear to be limited to certain enemies. Rats and Gecko's tend to explode when dismembered by coyote's don't. Turning off the mod, deleting the plugin and clean saving however did not fix the problem. Perhaps a reinstallation and playing w/o mods is in order...but its such a pain. Sieg5857
So before I went through the process of reinstalling everything I decided to play the game with only the official DLC installed. I was not able to reproduce the bug and the random dismemberment explosions stopped. So apparently it wasn't XFO and it was something else. I'll try bringing in only visual mods and begin play again. Sieg5857
THe game seems to work fine with just the visual mods. I'll probrably just delete all of my save games and start clean with just the visual mods sense the other stuff seems to be causing issues. 100+ mods is a little ridiculous. Quetzlsacatanango
Isn't that a feature of EVE?
Dan3345
You don't need to make so many posts, editing your first one will do, but that is directly related to EVE FNV.esp and means that mod is conflicting with another. THat mod should be loaded last and You have to many mods to begin with. Clean some out. Clean out your data folder too. By rule of thumb (AT least for me) I try and keep under 60 mods at all times, my game is stable. Another thing I see is that..well...Your load is order is s***. There is not one mod in proper order, and you are running many mods that are no longer supported or aren't updated (IE IWS and all of its plugins, are known with patch 1.4 to cause crashes.) You are also running two beauty packs at the same time, which the authors of both explicitly warn against. I'm sorry but your entire load order is a complete mess, and its amazing you can even launch the game, let alone play it enough to eventually crash... luthienanarion
Get rid of the EVE "beta" conversion from Fallout 3, and then READ the BIG TEXT on the EVE FNV description page.
