Vampire Race Disabler Issue

With the Vampire Race Disabler mod, I no longer am able to become a vampire anymore. I'll contract porphyric hemophilia, and after 3 days of sleeping, I'll suddenly wake up like I'm transforming, but then nothing happens. The only mods I have relating to vampires at all are M.O.E. - Vampire Clan Raelu, Toggleable Hunter's Sight, Vampires - No Sun Damage, and Verona House: Bloodlines (just adds vampire enemies; doesn't effect any scripts).

This is my list of mods:

I have tried disabling scanti's mod, but I still can't become a vampire. The tombstone in the vampire testing cell that will give you 100% vampirism works, but I can't become a vampire the normal way with or without the mod. Any help would be appreciated.

What is the function of the Vampire Race Disabler mod? It sort of sounds like it is doing its job admirably well and disabling vampirism. If you want to play as a vampire, you might try disabling such a suspicious-sounding mod and backing up to a savegame before it was installed.

Ah, sorry, I should have explained that in my first post. VRD is more of a cosmetic mod -- you can disable the eye color change, the morphing (starvation), the aging, and the change in skin tone. It alters a few scripts. It's not really a mod, but an OBSE plugin. It shouldn't disable vampirism completely, though.

If you can't get the OBSE plugin to work, you might try using another mod with a similar function. I haven't tried them all, but I think there are several that do this. One that sounds sort of like what you are looking for is Vampires - No Sun Damage - No Ugly Face. The others would work a little bit differently.

I tried the mod you posted, and sadly, it didn't seem to fix the issue. I deleted the .dll for the Vampire Race Disabler, but I'm still unable to become a vampire. It's odd, because the tombstone in the Vampire Test Cell WILL turn me into a vampire, but I don't want to be stuck at 100%. NPC vampires seem to be doing just fine, and even have the positive effects from the OBSE plugin. It just seems to be me, I guess. :/

Your current savegame may be corrupted. You might have to backtrack to a save before you started having the problems. You might have to experiment and enter a bunch of console codes to try to get things working again.

Here is a sampling of some of the scripting you would have to turn into console codes if you were to manually turn yourself into a vampire:

       player.addspell Vampirism25
	Player.addspell Vampirism25Att
	Player.addspell Vampirism25Skills
	Player.addspell VampireHuntersSight
	player.removespell VampDisease
	player.setfactionrank playervampirefaction 0
	addtopic CureforVampirism
	StartQuest MS40
	set vamphour to GameHour

In console code format, the form IDs for the spells would have to be looked up and substituted for their names.

Unfortunately, console codes can't edit script variables, and there are a fair number of them involved. If you are a scripter, you could build a corrupt savegame fix mod to set all the variables to what they need to be. The variables involved are things like:

short hasdisease
short currentday
short daycount
short vampday
short vampupdate
short randomdream
short doonce

in script "VampireScript" attached to quest "Vampire."

Probably easiest for you to remove the bad mod and play an old savegame, play a different character, or start a new one.
