factions all hostile suddenly

So suddenly I have noticed all major factions have been reset, NCR, The Legion, Brotherhood, Kahns they all suddenly are neutral and worse, all will fire me as soon as they see me. My character has the Messiah karma status, and I was idolized by all the mentioned factions except The Legion.. The NCRF powder gangers are neutral and fire on me but I could care less I kill them anyways : / I am really bothered though that NCR and the brotherhood and the Kahns shoot at me, given I was idolized by all three, I haven't finished the game, and the last quest I did was for NCR and it was too deliver three doctors bag to bitter springs. I remember in a previous play through this happening as well because I turned off the underground hideout, which i recently did, but could that really be the problem?

I should mention I added the idolized/vilified status back to the appropriate factions and then waited three days, and they still go hostile. Also if I am wearing faction armor and go to say Hoover dam wearing trooper armor only a few rangers will shoot at me while the majority of troopers will do nothing, if I am not wearing faction armor all will shoot. This is most noticeable at helios one were if I wear trooper armor only Lt. Haggerty shoots at me, but if I am not they will all shoot.

 

I have tried putting on and off different faction armors to remove any glitch and nothing, actually if I think about it this started right after I tried on father elijahs robe for the first time, I took it off and put it away, but I dont remember if it said I was no longer disguised as a BoS member...

 

 

EDIT:So luckily I had a previous save that was only about thirty minutes behind, loaded it up and all is working, I am still curious as to what could have caused this. I am thinking it was Elijahs robe, and will test later...

You're not alone, buddy. I had a similar problem and also had to revert to an earlier save file. Problem is, it's happened more than once and it's definitely not Elija's robe since I haven't touched it.
