PowderdToastMan
give us a little more background you checked off the mods in fallout mod manager or in data files? you say theyre not working. Like you get in the game and they arent there? Also, post your load order with your mods and we can probably get you fixed up. just be detailed

PowderdToastMan
If we post here and i cant figure it out, others might see it and know what to do. i would re-install FOMM first off. Go to your startmenu control panel and uninstall FOMM under uninstall programs. Make sure you have started up the game and verified the cache with steam once and then re-install fomm. Make sure it installs where it wants too. let create a desktop icon. startup fomm and select fallout nv. any mods you have dropped in you data folder should show up on fomm just like they show up on your data files area. Once you get that working, the load order is the order that your mods load in, and is displayed in your data files and fomm.In some cases mods overrite each other and can even cause crashes if you dont load them in the right order, or cause them not to show up. you'll see many of the questions people post are them asking if someone will look at their load order to see if someone can see if something is out of place. If this is not the case, detail how you installed the mods and we'll go from there.

PowderdToastMan
if the only one working is the one that uses fomod then it sounds like your installing the manual mods incorrectly. Ok, lets say the unhv mod, for example, which i am familar with, when you unzipped it, it had a meshes folder, a textures folder, and an esp. - maybe more. When you drop all of that stuff together in your data folder, it will ask if you want to merge and you should always say yes. make sure you do it like that and it should show up in game as long as you have checked off yor esp in fomm. PowderdToastMan
addendum, do you have 7zip or winrar to unpack mods for manuall install? that might be the problem

PowderdToastMan
ok, so once you start using fomm you'll never need to look in data files again. dont worry about looking in there to verify anything. if you drop the mod mesh/texture/esp and check off the esp in fomm now, does it work? is is still giving error message when you check off esp? also dont try to install mods that require manuall install with fomm. just drop the folders and esp in your data folder and they will automatically appear in fomm for check off.
