if i was in your position, would do a complete uninstall, remove the fallout new vegas folder completley, remove the save games folder completley, make sure my steam folder is not under program files, and then re-install under an adminsitrative profile with antivirus software off.

Where else again is a non UAC folder ? The administrative control is giving me some problems. Doing a fresh uninstall tonight and fresh install, hopefully 3rd time lucky :)

yea, you'll know if your on an administrator profile if you have the ability to change login passwords from that profile.

 

making sure your steam folder is not in program files is because the program files folder has safeguards on it that can prevent certian aspects of the game from functioning.

SOLVED! got it fixed was just an issue with the game directory so i changed t to the c drive and totally wiped the other, now the only problem I've got is Nevada skies URWL causing a crash in the prospector saloon, only thing I know is when nskies is deactivated it works fine :( so for the now vanilla nights and no weather it is, unless someone can help me out :P the hard parts done, now just to get nskies working.

Here is my current load order using master update up until interior lights (as it doesn't work correctly with master update, causes CTD in some areas).

i use nevada skies urwl with no problems, but i dont have any of the dlc. i know there are compadibility patches for it for the dlc but i dont see how it would affect the prospector saloon unless the dlc affects the saloon.

 

anyway, i found out the long way that the weather affects will have trouble working unless you make it the very last thing in your load order. that is, if you get it working...

same :( nskikes gives so much more depth to the game, *sigh ive put a comment up and my load order to the author of nskies just in case something pops up though doubt, I've download the latest fomod, think i downloaded one released a few days just before the current one, maybe there was a few problems :/

SOLVED! :) just had to update, there was a problem with the original nskies fomod, all good now weather and everything is fixed, cheers for the feedback ;)
