t12161991
I just started playing New Vegas again, and I'm about 25 hours into my current save. I've had a couple of (as far as I can tell) unrelated crashes, maybe 3-4, in those 25 hours. I started up my game today after installing CASM and Extended NV Radio, and for the first 1-2 hours it worked fine. I then ran some errands and other stuff, and now it crashes every time I fast travel. It gets maybe 4-5 seconds into the load screen, then straight to desktop. If it's relevant, I'm currently in Old World Blues. I've tried disabling both of above mods, uninstalling CASM (figuring it was the most likely culprit with saving issues), using previous saves, and disabling auto save on fast travel in the options menu (worked for one fast travel, crashed on the next one). My load order is: FalloutNV.esmTribalPack.esmDeadMoney.esmHonestHearts.esmOldWorldBlues.esmELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esmELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esmNSkies - Vanilla Edition.esmPower Armour is Powered.espUHNV.espUHNV-Dead Money.espUHNV-Hoenst Hearts.espLeveledItemListCorrections.espTag Skills Improved.esprealistic headshots.espLucky38MarkerV3.espLight Step ED-E.espDarNifiedUINV.espxatmosSkillPerks.espNewVegasBounties.espLucky Lighter.espCompanion Sandbox Mode.espNewVegasBountiesII.espR.A.C.E. Station.espExtendedNVRadio.espFellout.esp Currently realistic headshots, R.A.C.E., and ENVR are disabled (and the first two have been the entire time). I'm on a laptop with a AMD N950 Quad Core (@ 2.1Ghz), Radeon HD 5650M, and 8 gigs of ram. I'd really rather not reinstall or start from scratch again, so any help in fixing this would be great! Dan3345
Go download fallout new vegas edit (FNVedit) search for FNVedit on the nexus, and then watch this. Should tell you what is wrong, and then how to fix it.
t12161991
Thanks, and I'll look into that to see if I can salvage my most recent saves. I went back to a save from before I started using CASM and that save allowed me to fast travel multiple times with crashing, so I think that was the problem.
