Spewed
I previoulsy played New Vegas, and didn't complete the game because it was laggy, so I've since then built a new rig and want to replay the game. I installed the game a few minutes, and was going to immediately start modding it. I noticed that this time around when I proceeded to the data folder that rather than seeing the "texture", and "Meshes" as folders that I can copy other mods into I see them as BSA files, and cannot combine anything to them. Is there a reason for this, and how can I fix it? Thanks in advance. Not sure if this is the right place to put this post, but hopefully it is and someone can help me. ^_^ Also, if it matters I had the game modded on the older computer when I played it using several mods. So I'm assuming I haven't just forgotten, but I seem to remember merging texture folders, now I can't do that because they're set as .bsa folders. I thought about extracting them, but didn't want to do this until I know definitively if that's what I should do. Gribbleshnibit8
You shouldn't combine into the bsa files. Instead, just copy whatever mod's textures, meshes, menus, music, sound folders into your data folder. Make sure to enable archive invalidation in FoMM (or with other programs) before starting your game. Also, if you have mod with 'menu' folders, make sure you get the Unified HUD Project mod by Gopher to make them all play nicely together.
