RedRocketTM
Until yesturday I was using OBMM v. 1.4, then I wanted to install OBSE 1.2, which I definitely didn't use before, and I was wondering why there was a OBSE v1.1 file. All right I did install the 1.2 version anyway, and then did upgrade OBMM to 1.5. Now I wasn't sure how to start my game - with OBSE, like mentioned in the readme, or with OBMM, just because I need the right loading order of my 125 mods, otherwise they'll conflict or not work at all. I tried both - first OBSE, then OBMM, and I noticed, that OBMM first shows up the modlist, and then, if I click on launch Oblivion, it shows up the OBSE screen right before starting. So my question is: Doest OBMM always start OBSE right before starting the game, once it is installed, or does this have anything to do with the new OBSE or OBMM version? I didn't notice the OBSE thing before I installed v1.2 when starting Oblivion via OBMM. And will OBMM automatically start the NEWEST OBSE version? *a little confused* In fact the mod I installed OBSE for doesn't work anyway - but some other mods OBSE wasn't mentioned to be required for do work now, so what. ^^
ninja_lord666
I'm not sure if OBMM starts Oblivion with OBSE, but you don't need to launch Oblivion with OBMM. You should have even gotten a message that popped up when you first launched Oblivion with it that said you don't need to use OBMM to start Oblivion. If you start Oblivion with OBSE, your mod order will stay the same. (and mods won't start conflicting if you don't launch Oblivion with OBMM...that's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. If two mods don't conflict, then they don't conflict! It's that simple!)
RedRocketTM
That's why some people say to load their mods last in their readme's, huh? -.-"Man there are serval mods that just WON'T work if they're not in the right loading order - I know what I'm talking about, just because thats why some mods work for me now, that just didn't do before... And I did not have a message popping up when I started Oblivion via OBSE. I just read the readme and it said that I shoud launch Oblivion via OBSE. It doesn't matter anyway, launching Oblivion via OBMM starts OBSE somehow, the only thing is that I dunno if it launches v1.1 or v1.2... And if the loading order stays the same when starting Oblivion via the original exe or OBSE, fine - but you'll still have to sort them sometimes. Oh and... a little more friendly would do... YOU might know much more than others, but that's no point to call things they say as the stupidest you've ever heard. Then this board is international, so it MIGHT happen that one isn't that good in English, and things he or she may say could be expressed a little weird... ninja_lord666
Firstly, I said you should get a message when you first launch OBMM, and whether or not you're native language is English or not doesn't mean the things you say aren't stupid. English has nothing to do with the fact that what you said was incredibly ignorant. Mods that don't conflict...don't conflict! It doesn't take someone who knows English to figure that one out. That's obvious in any language.
RedRocketTM
I got a message when I first launched OBMM 1.4 which I updated from 0.9 - but that was only something for editing BSA's directly and the archive invalidation thing. The new v1.5 update didn't show any message. But still that's not what I wanted to know... Even though I don't wanna go on argueing about loading order conflicts or not. I do need a specific loading order becaus the mods I do have in my list otherwise won't work correctly. There ARE some mods that I do have to load first, and there are serval I do have to load last. I'm talking about me and not the whole wide world, could we leave it at that? ~.~I could even start Oblivion without OBMM but I don't want to. :P The only thing that I want to figure out is WHAT version of OBSE OBMM is starting. *sigh*
Abramul
Move whichever version you don't want it using elsewhere. If it stops working, then you know it's using that one, and you can move it back.
RedRocketTM
Quite simple, I could have figured it out myself. :SAnyway - thank you, I'll check that later. Gotta work now... *yawn*
