RedRocketTM
First make sure you have at least patch 1.1.5.11 installed. (If using Shivering Isles add on or just to be sure install the latest patch that you can download on Beth Soft's homepage)Then you should have the latest drivers for your hardware installed. Also your computer should be good enough to run the game. ;) I know this problem and one gets tired of all those CTD's. With my last computer it was all the same. Now with my new one I rarely have any problems with my game. The only thing that brings my game to crash is an issue with my companion sometimes, but it's really rare. But as I've read patch 1.2 fixes that. (I'm running v1.1.5.11 and won't update ^^)

RedRocketTM
I still can remember how my poor old processor had to hurry up just because my graphics card was MUCH faster. :D I'm so glad that all these CTD's are gone. However, my old one makes a good media-PC. ^.^
