WIP: A Beast out of myself

Note: This is going to be a really Long Term WIP. My computer, after a long tour of duty, gave up on me. I'm currently using my brothers computer. I hope to get a new computer soon, so I may get to work on this mod.

Basically, this mod will add a quest that is modeled after the film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The Courier encounters Raoul Duke and Dr. Gonzo on the road near Sloan. After getting a lift from them, The Courier will meet them again in New Vegas, and that's when the quest will really begin. You can either help them with their various Drug Fueled problems, or work on the side of the Casino's, Hotels, NCR soldiers and Kings in order to reclaim large amounts of money from them.

A few features I hope to add in this mod

-New Apparel

-New Unique Weapons

-New Locations

-New Companion+Perk

-New money

-A new Radio Station that plays some Modern Psychedelic/Blues rock (be easier to aquire permission from the musicians.)*

And, a big one that I hope will be the seller

CARS! However, they wouldn't be driveable, but rather an alternative for Fast Travel. Cars would also serve as mobile storage, and would allow you to sleep in them.

(*If I am unable to aquire permission on any music, I wont include it into the mod.)

Anyways, I'm currently writing dialogue, as that's all I can do at the moment. But also, I need a few types of people to help me out with this when I begin:

A texturer

A scripter

A modeler

Voice actors

I can design basic buildings/characters, so I can do that. As well, I can build Radio Stations rather well. I hope to make this a team project.

Anyways, if you have any ideas for the mod/willing to help out, please feel free to post.

yeah, as you, if i got that right, can't actually mod right now anyway and since it's about fear and loathing in las vegas, i'd recommend some highly inspirational readings meanwhile :-) - no idea if anybody still knows "doonesbury", a comic strip by g.b. trudeau (or if it's even still running, that thing had been going on for so long, i'm pretty sure the guy's immortal or something :-) -> look out for strips from the series featuring the "uncle duke"-character, keywords: las vegas, drugs (any kind of), lizards :-) - they ripped at least half of the movie straight off of this character (and his drug life) - the raoul duke (!!)-character from the movie's even not only called, but also looks exactly like uncle duke, pretty much says it all i'd say :-)

I live in Canada so I doubt they have that strip up here.

i live in austria and they have it.

and austria is most definitely the second last place on earth right after beluchistan where they have stuff everyone else has :-)

there's, among various other editions, a duke-strips-only book, published by andrews & mcMeel (kansas) for example, coming with or without action figure :-) and still available on amazon or whereever.

but anyway, if you don't feel like reading that just don't, just thought you might be interested 'cause that's where they've got most of f&l~lv from after all.

Hunter S Thompson was rather miffed with the whole Uncle Duke from the doonsbury comic, the author of which freely admits that the character was his homage to H S Thompson and his semi-fictional work "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", first published in 1971 in Rolling Stone magazine. I heartily recomend reading "The Jokes Over - Ralph Steadman on Hunter S Thompson" for HST reactions to this comic parody!
