can program start somehow be queried in a script?

is there a way to make something happen once every time the game (program) is started?

i've tried several variations around MenuMode 2007 (if i remember the 2007 correct), which should, according to the geck-wiki, report true for the main menu, which would do for me (wouldn't be unambiguous, but i wouldn't care / could handle if it also runs on one or the other additional occasion, as long as it does at gamestart), but could get none of them to in any way work -

maybe somebody got a better idea for this?

edit: if there's a way to do stg at program shutdown, this would also do of course (not that i had the slightest clue about how to do this though)

Maybe try MenuMode 1004? Someone on Geck discussion thought it was the main menu for Fallout 3, if so it'd be good odds it was the same for New Vegas.

aha, now that's a good one.

i went for what it says in the menumode-section of the manual (which is, no own menu code for start menu, but 1004, 1007 and one more i forgot should return true), just picked a random one for testing, just my luck it apparently was the wrong one :-)

gonna try 1004 tonight and post the results, thx

p.s.: vienna calling back, btw... (oder auch: seas aus margareten :-)
