blazeda59
I have a very strange problem I'm working on a large mod with multiple new cells. I've made 3 new armor sets from an existing armor. It loads fine both in the Geck and game but for some reason once the armor is added to the mod it stops the main cell of the mod from loading. As far as I can tell all other cells are working bar this single one. The strange thing is that the armor isn't even in the cell that's crashing. The cell it is in works fine and the NPC's wearing it also work fine but once I've moved through this cell to the main cell the game will crash while loading. Now I'm pretty sure its not the main cell as it also loads fine if I bypass the cell with the armor. I cant figure out why theses armors seem to work but crash the game 2 cells later, all the other armor types I've add work fine. Has anyone else ever had this problem? blazeda59
ok now I'm pretty sure its not the armor :wallbash: its the f'in cell if I go back to an earlier esp without the armor it still crashes but again its weird the cell will load but only when I load a save where I'm either already in the cell or the one just before I enter it. If I try and access it from the world the way the player is supposed to it crashes. So the cell works I know it does I've been testing s*** in game for months going back and forth from the world to the new cells but ever since I started adding stuff to the cell used to get from vanilla world to custom its stopped working. stevie70
ok now I'm pretty sure its not the armor :wallbash: does the cell work _without_ that armor on?and do you have any other retextures in that cell, especially such you made using texture sets? (-> doing this for most furniture items crashes the game no matter what) and if you, like you said (or at least like i understood that), can coc in the cell but not enter through the door, you could try moving the coc marker to exactly where the door marker is and try again, if this then crashes the game too, your problem's pretty sure some retex that should be rendered from that point of view
blazeda59
thanks for your reply. no Im not wearing the armor its not for the player to use. Its just I noticed the problem after I added the new armor so I was thinking it was that causing the problem and because the armor appeared to be working (which I now think is) I couldn't understand why it would stop a cell its not even in or entering from loading. I'd say its the texturesets as its the only new or edited cell thats using them. I was reading about how they can crash the game earlier the only reason I didnt try before is I have a lot of things retextured and wanted to try anything else before going through the process of redoing them all in nifskope :yucky:

(VERY tested this... hehe... :-)
