lgpmichael
I've seen lots and lots of people trying to handle multiple lines of voice acted audio, saying 'copy them line by line into the 1.0 CS and then copy them back, only takes 2 minutes per line'. There is a MUCH MUCH easier way, that I have not seen anyone at all mention. Assuming you have already set up the 1.0 CS, and have your 1.0 unpatched oblivion version it is installed against, as you would have done anyway to get anything done in the recommended way.Assuming you have the wav files in the correct place in your oblivion directory tree Here is how to do it MUCH more easilly. Backup your mods esp, which includes your dialog, as this process damages it. However you simply restore it at the end from the backup. Load Wrye Bash and right click on the esp, and select 'Version 0.8' This will allow the mod itself to be loaded into the 1.0 CS, but can cause damage to the esp, which is why you need to keep a backup. copy your esp to the 1.0 oblivion data directory, and also copy over the Sounds/Voices/Yourmod.esp directory to the corresponding place in the unpatched oblivion. Load the 1.0 CS and select your mod for editing. As you have changed its version it will now load. It is quite likely that the CS will crash if you try and access the Character/Quest menu, so instead load Character/Filtered Dialogue On the left, change it from 'ALL' to your mods quests You now have all of your mod's dialog ready to just go through and generate lip files as you would have done before line by line. You can do them all quickly, just like it should be possible to do in the 1.2 CS. When you are done, copy back the Sound/Voices/yourmod.esp/ directory contents which will include the new lip files. Congratulations you can now do 100 lip files in 5 minutes instead of 1 every 2 minutes. Dont forget to restore the esp from your backup!
wetblanket
I believe Construction Set Extender restores that functionality to 1.2.
