moving on up to mods

sorry if this isn't the right place, kind of new here so forgive me lol :D

 

right, i'm moving from console to PC oblivion.

i want to start playing with some of the mods and customizing this already awesome game to exactly how i want it.

i guess that's obvious bearing in mind the forum. oh well.

i'll get to the point.

i've been hunting around to try to find out the mods that i'd like to try out so if anyone could help me out with suggestions or rates on these. i basically want to make the game slightly more realistic, as in roleplay opportunities and so on.

Also read the descriptions, ratings, downloads and comments about that file and if they seem like cool editions to the game get them if you dislike them in the future you can always delete them or turn them off. i have thousands of mods i use lol i doubt i could ever go back to vanilla oblivion.

yeah i deleted most of them after posting that, sorry. having trouble with PC at time and it kept freezing out at random points. i can see what you mean about vanilla, after chatting to a load of people and just browsing through the lists i can see why alot of people mod the game to extreme levels and i think i'll probably end up doing just that soon lol.

 

i have another request tho, anyone out there running oblivion on a laptop computer? i can't upgrade motherboard to use a new video caard atm, so i could use some advice on running oldblivion it seems

Rise of the Samurai, eh? That the one with the samurai house? If so, I love that one, and suggest using it in conjunction with Enter the Shinobi. Not exactly the most sensible pair up, but I just like the feel of being a roaming ninja with a small home in the remote mountains. I give both of those mods a 9 or 10 out of 10.

 

Read the readme on the Shinobi one carefully, and I suggest using a Wood Elf character along with the Shadow birthsign (the mod changes the bonuses) and the provided Shinobi class.
