2350
I'm trying to make a mod where you can travel to West-Tek from fallout 1 but need some stuff from fallout 3. problem is i'm using the New Vegas Geck and am curious on how you can load the fallout3.esm(DLC's to if possible) and falloutnewvegas.esm together without them crashing. please don't refer me to that mod that's called "Requiem for Capital Wasteland" for that is way to confusing and didn't work. any help is greatly appreciated. Does patting an angry midgets head really give you good luck?
Paxan_1
Hi, well, i don't think it is possible to load F3 stuff in the NV Geck. It is the same like you want to load an F3 mod in NV Geck, you have to port it into a NV esm first. But, to be honest, i'm not sure if it is possible to port the F3 esm into a NV esm. 2350
I could Extract meshes from the Bsa.Browser in fallout 3 and rename them to the specified data folders for New Vegas or wherever i want and make them but its very time consuming cause i require a great deal of Models from Fallout 3 plus the dlcs. I also wanted to create a city environment but New Vegas doesn't have those models so iv'e tried importing all of them one at a time. Soooooo long, thank god for monster, now i can stay up till 4 and then have a seizure and fall unconscious.
Gribbleshnibit8
Or, if you extract them, just drag and drop them into the section of GECK you want them in, it'll create the object for you with the ID set as the name of the mesh. You still have to have textures in the correct structure, but you could move the meshes if you really wanted to. This works for changing the "type" of an item. So you can add scrap metal to the static section, and it'll become a static (it won't havoc in game), but it'll still havoc in GECK so be careful. And as mentioned, extracting and then including the files would be illegal, so if you MUST do it, then....idk. I try to avoid all parts where they left out VERY USEFUL items, just learn to make do.
