NV Enclave Armors

Can't legally do it and redistribute it. I'm pretty sure the Requiem mod makes it a moot point though, since it requires F3 and just puts a portal to Fallout 3's Capital Wasteland in New Vegas...so you could just grab the amour in NV and wear it in F3.

Well I own both NV and Fallout 3 .. I just don't want some suitcase somewhere that lets me just take the armor ..I hate that.. I just want to replace the armors with the Gannon family style armor .. is there a simple way to find the files and drag and drop them over? lol .. maybe not VERY simple .. I can deal with complex things if I have to .. I really want this .. I find the enclave in F3 so ugly.

Can provide you with an ESP I set up to do it, but you will have to extract your own assets from your NV BSA files.

That would be great .. Nver done it but I'm sure I can handle it .. Ive had to deal with extracting/modding/then repacking files for other games .. do you have them uploaded somewhere or is it a small enough file an email will do? .. also a small tutorial would help .. nothing major just like basic things I must know .. I can figure most of it out I believe .. just a basic explination on what it is that the file is doing.. I assume I'll be taking the assets from FNV then copying them over after extracting them into the Fallout3 data file then the ESP will tell the game to use them instead?

In a bit of detail since do not know your knowledge level so if it sound condescending, then sorry.

With FOMM, got tools then BSA browser.

*Open Fallout - Meshes.bsa from inside your NV data folder

*On the Left hand panel there is a file drop down navigation window

* Navigate to Meshes>Armor>AdvandedPowerArmor

*Highlight the four files on the RIGHT hand side and extract to a new folder.

*Back to left hand side and Navigate to Meshes>Armor>TeslaKarmor and extract the four files like before

That is the meshes done, now onto the textures.

*press Close on the BSA Browser then Open again.

*This time Open Fallout - Textures.bsa

*Navigate like before to Textures>Armor>AdvandedPowerArmor.

*Extract the files on the RIGHT hand side like before (there will be 5 ending .dds)

*Navigate to Textures>Armor>TeslakArmor and extract those Four DDS files again.

Now you you have a new folder containing a meshes and texture folder were you extracted, similar to a mod, either copy those files to your fallout3 data folder with the ESP provided and activate, or make an FOMOD out of them.

Making the FOMOD:

*Copy the ESP to the folder containing the Meshes and Textures folder where you extracted your NV stuff to.

*Right click and make an archive out of it with 7zip/winrar/you favorite zipper program (would also name it something you can recognize)

*Open FOMM for fo3 and then package manager and Add new FOMOD

*Select the archive/zip you just created then activate it.

That should be it.

edit: to Mods/Admin if this is not allowed to be done then sorry, presume its ok with the likes of Requiem for a capital wasteland mod ect.

oh damn forgot to tell you where to extract the helmet meshes and textures DOH :P

Do same as before open meshes BSA with FOMM and goto meshes>armor>Headgear , press sort by folder name, then extract these two files shown in the below image:

http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/8287/meshehlm.th.jpg

Adpowarmhelgo.nif and Adpowarmhelm.nif

Then scroll down and extract these 2 files shows in the image below:

http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/8287/meshehlm.th.jpg

teslaekhelmgo.nif and teslaekhelm.nif

Close and open fallout-textures.bsa

Navigate to textures>armor>headgear and the sort by folder name again

extract:

http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/8287/meshehlm.th.jpg

adpowerarmorhelm.dds and adpowerarmorhelm_n.dds

and

http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/8287/meshehlm.th.jpg

teslaekarmorhelm.dds and teslaekarmorhelm_.dds

and add them to your data folder or create a new FOMOD with the new files like before.

edit: ok the images are failing to Hyerlink for some reason.

Alright.. thank again .. the helmet model is working now but the textures are messed up .. I found this thread ..http://www.The Link is Not Allowed/topic/12050-enclave-remnant-armor-replacer-for-fo3/ ... This person seems to be having the same issues with the texture .. It seems to be switching randomly with nearby textures in the level .. as I was walking I witnessed the helmet texture change into the flag texture in the nearby citidel base as well as the floor textures and many others I wasnt able to place .. the Pipboy issue from what I understand seems to be a problem with NV and unfixable without a pipboy mod .. which is understandable .. that just leaves the head textures looking messed up.. as well as the chest light flickering .. but I dont mind that so much
