SpellAndShield
How many are there and are they weapon dependent or style dependent? (sword and board vs. dual) cheers
jedimembrain
idk how many there are .. not to many .. a couple for every weapon combination it would seem .. watching the demo it shows the same finishing moves randomly for enemy types and weapon use .. like kicking the wolfs then bashing them in the head .. or stabbing a guy in the gut .. the camera seems to sometimes move into thrid person for it and sometimes in first depending on the move... they arnt triggered though .. completely random like with fallouts view angles.. though in fallout 3 they also happened with critical hits so they might have that in skyrim too
SHIROryuu
Wow I didn't even thing of archery. It would be cool to see a slow mo arrow kill. Though that's kinda over done. I'll be happy to wait and see on this one.
Alcrin
Archery finishing moves can really only make sense if they focus on the actions of the one hit by the arrow: Maybe they slowly keel over and thrash around in pain for a bit before dying after taking an arrow. Unless you wanna go I hope (but don't really expect that) they have finishers with magic, like killing someone with a frost spell turns them into a frosty statue, or with a fire spell turns them into a charred corpse. SHIROryuu
I was thinking more like bullet time or whatever. Like you see the arrow fly into where you aimed. Then it goes back to normal view and they drop dead.
jedimembrain
Archery finishing moves could easily just be Fallout 3 bullet times .. It wouldn't be hard for them to just copy and paste that on over to skyrim and I would sure like it.
SHIROryuu
Archery finishing moves could easily just be Fallout 3 bullet times .. Two handed weapons, you can clearly see the character hit with the pommel. Cool actions like that, which make combat have more depth. More then just bashing your sword(s) into the character until they drop. I wonder about death animations with other weapons, like can you bash someone good with your shield? lol Or spells? Will you be able to see them, or how will their animations look if there are any? Edit:I mean not having vats, not the animation of vats. SansSword
Archery Finishers: --stringing & firing a triplet of arrows into multiple body sections--rushing up to the enemy (possibly in slo-mo) and jamming a single arrow, with your hand, through the enemy's neck--rushing up to the enemy as they are stunned/staggering and wrapping your bow around their neck, twist, and wrench tight (suffocate/decap)--stuffing an arrow into each eye socket--triplet of arrows into lower abdomen, organ spillage--Black Knight treatment; ie. carefully but quickly aim arrows to chop off all limbs one by one--walk up to enemy, open mouth, yank out tongue, spear tongue on ground with arrow These are simply martial ideas; don't know if combinations with magic or shouts would be doable
marharth
DO NOT MAKE LIMBS FALL OFF FROM ARROWS, OH GOD NO...
gretzky99
What I would like to see as a finishing move for archery...is you stop,,,aim high above you, and the arrow takes a high arcing route to finally finish off said enemy. Sort of like LA LOB.
