companion mods. :T

Kayso, I finally got all my mods working, and I finally made a custom NPC, buuuut!

I used the EZ Companion thingy to make my companion, and like...

I want to give her a Yoshinokota or w/e hairstyle, but it won't let me load the hair mods in GECK because of too many master files.

So yeah, any way to get around this/fix it? @_@ I would really like to give her a cute hairstyle. D:

I heard something about drag n' dropping the hair you want into the folder, so I'll try THAT out while I wait for a response. :3

Once I get Chelsea working, I'll upload her to the Nexus!

She's gonna be a gothic lolita (non-shoujo) sniper. :3

do you mean your getting the error message from the geck along the lines of " unable to load multiple masters aborting operation"

if thats the case you will need to edit the GECKcustom notepad document file found in libraries>documents>mygames>fallout3

look for

b AllowMultipleMasterLoads=0

and change the 0 (zero) to a 1 (found in the [General] section)

(back it up first and stash it somewhere safe just in case )

and you say hair doesnt show up in game what you getting instead default hair , bald head , purple head ?

cos if its default could well be a load order conflict get FOMM if you havnt already good tool that one .

and if its a purple head your missing textures or meshes

best thing i find is to look at other peoples stand alone companion mods and examine the folder/file structure carefully and more importantly the contents and make comparisions against your own ,even drag a .dds/.nif file out here and there to see the impact it has . learn by breaking the other kids toys then just repair it from the downloaded file .
