Ciannait
So I recently re-installed DAO back onto my computer after having it off for a while, and I've been going through to try to put my mods back on. To that end I got rid of the old version DAMM that I had to download the new one. When I went to options, the list of files under the 'Dragon Age Origins' header were wrong - my DAO is located in an EA folder, not Bioware, so I changed the destination. However, I have looked, and cannot find the 'Addins Folder' location, so I can't change that destination... which means DAMM cannot install my mods. I have scoured my DAO folder looking for it, and I just cannot find it. I never had this problem when I installed DAO the first time, and had the old version of DAMM. Does anyone know where I can find the Addins folder, or do I need uninstall everything and start over?
Codifer
It might be worth a try to select "BioWare", select "New Folder" and then right click on the "New Folder" and select "Rename" and type "Addins". If it works then all is well. If not.... something is borked heavily. Good luck. Edit to add: The "BioWare" folder should be in "My Documents".... not "Programs". Just so we be clear and such. Thandal
Welcome, Ciannait! Sorry you're having problems, but not sure exactly what you mean. So I wrote this both for you, and for others who might not know as much about how to configure DAMM. DAMM ("DAO-Modmanager", not "DAModder", right?) uses a "base folder" for itself, and two other (normally sub-) folders: "\dazips" and "\overrides". These can exist literally ANYWHERE on you rig, as long as you point DAMM to the right locations for these and the various folders of the game. DAMM does not need the "\Addins" folder at all. The "\Addins" folder is where you MIGHT find other .dazips (particularly BioWare's DLC) that weren't installed with DAMM. (Although you can use DAMM to manage/install them anyway.) As you know, all of this specifiying of folder locations can be customized on the "Options" tab of the DAMM main menu, as shown below: http://www.dragonagenexus.com/imageshare/images/1678793-1314051028.pngNote: on my rig the path for the "\Addins" folder is under "\Program Files (x86)" because that's where the UE puts it, rather than under the player's profile in "\My Documents", as it would be if one had simply downloaded all the DLC. (Also, I'm running a 64-bit OS. On a 32-bit rig, that folder would be just "\Program Files".) Hope some of this helps.
