vegeta0585
Am hoping to find some help here. My game is randomly crashing, and I am not sure why. Im wondering if its the 2.9 version of NVSE, since a lot of times it has to do with something NVSE related. But I dont know, it may be my load order argh. I wanna stab a kitten. Heres my load order. lemonfan1
In my own experience, I've found that many of the mods you have were making me crash, ever since an update a while back. Project Nevada, as wonderful as it is, killed my game a lot. Bounties 2 was doing it, too. This helps me sometimes; open up FOMM, and click Package Manager. If anything says "Error" to the right, it's best to get rid of it or anything that is conflicting with that mod to cause the error. Unless you really want to keep it. The more mods you have, the higher the risk you have of conflicts and crashes.

The FOMM package manager shows "Error" for the web version of mods installed with a fomod script because it failed to get the current version number from the Nexus. This functionality does not work for New Vegas like it does for Fallout 3. It has nothing to do with errors within a mod.

But if this is the case, then I've gotten rid of a lot of mods that might not have been hurting me. T_T At least I learned something new. XD Thanks luthienanarion. So, ignore that quote of mine, but what else I said was true. More mods will equal a higher chance of a conflict showing up and possibly crashing you. I can post my load order and you can try to match it? I've ran about 6 hours yesterday without encountering a single crash though to be fair I was in the capital wastes most of the six hours... either way I'm no proffessional load order person :D but it works for me, so maybe it'll help lol. (Ignore the FO3 & RFCW stuff unless your running Requiem! - key thing that may be causing the issues is Project Navada should really be at the bottom of the list the only thing you want lower would be AP and maybe willow so it doesn't overwrite the dialog options or at least that's my line of thinking on it... there's always exceptions and ughh .. it makes my head hurt T_T) Fallout3.esmBrokenSteel.esmThePitt.esmPointLookout.esmFalloutNV.esmDeadMoney.esmHonestHearts.esmOldWorldBlues.esmClassicPack.esmMercenaryPack.esmTribalPack.esmCaravanPack.esmNSkies URWLified.esm (Could probably go below Navada but choose not to let it and haven't noticed problems.)Project Nevada - Core.esmProject Nevada - Equipment.esmELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esmELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esm(Any Hair/Body esp's should go here! So it's got to be some incompatibility issue with one of the armory or quest/beauty mods.. though which one is always fun figuring out :( Edited August 23, 2011 by Satorinu
vegeta0585
Since the crashing is completely random, it makes it difficult to isolate the mod as well :(
vegeta0585
ugh, now i cant go to novac, the ground is missing in some areas, and soon as i look at it, CRASH.
Satorinu
Based on that last comment, the ground is missing - I'd say it's definitely NOT NVSE but rather.. a mod that is totally screwing your game though the only way I can think of to find which one is to load it in the geck and search to see which one alters novac in some way -- but I never have done editing/modding since Elder Scrolls Morrowind (and even then, only unreleased and 90% unfinished mods) so I'm useless on that one.. my guess would be whichever mod is causing it -- isn't just because of some incompatibility.. it sounds like a mod that isn't up to date or something and is just laying waste to the uhm.. wasteland.. in a bad way! If I had to guess what the ebil mod was.... MoMod.esm -- Not a clue what this is.. soooo... it stays! Maybe!AWorldOfPain(Preview).esm -- Not a clue what this is .. so yeah.. maybe!AWSW.esp - Not a clue what this is so I kept it on here..SecretStash40.esp - Where does it stash stuff? Novac? All around? :oNewVegasBounties.esp - doubt it, had heard /good/ things about it being stable, not bad.NewVegasBountiesII.esp - maybe.. maybe not.. I heard it was a tad unstable.101Billboards.esp <--- High Risk! Definitely, high risk... check comments and possibly incompatibility.101Posters.esp <--- High Risk? It would alter a lot.. check the mod's comments and see if similar is reported.bzArmour.esp - Where are the armors, maybe it's a cause.. maybe not!Sunglasses Shipment.esp - Again -- where :o and possibly overlapping with .. god knows what >:|TheArmorer.esp - Same as above, don't know what or where.. so maybe. Bare in mind, this is totally just a guess list worth looking into the comments of the mods and seeing if anyone's reporting similar, it's a lot of legwork though but it could prove worth it.. hell it COULD be Navada takes issue with one of the armor mods or shipments because of placement, alteration, or brand new addition... though I find it rather unlikely -- and the reason I say unlikely is well.. I'm running FO3 for god sake .. if Navada doesn't take issue with me playing all of Fallout 3 with it running, I don't forsee it taking issue with new armors, weapons, or anything lol! Honestly I'd just go to Plan B :(Uninstall, reinstall...Update... ensure latest FOMM & NVSE and of course, Fallout.Check each individual mod for updates, install your 'must have' (like Navada is one of mine) and play for a bit, if you had a crash that was reoccuring allllll the time, good time to go test and see if it still does it.Install secondary mods you 'want' a wholllle bunch .. and again test for awhile to see if crashes occur.Install 'meh' mods and.. problem maybe solved! Hopefully.. eh! x_x Yeah as you can tell I have that practically down to a science from experience >:'| Edited August 24, 2011 by Satorinu
