How do I go about updating mods for my game that get updated? Do I delete the old ones first, then just add the updated versions like any old mod? Or do I add the updated mods and overwrite the old versions?

Also, in FOMM under Package Manager, there is sometimes a red bar Error message listed next to a mod under the column heading Web Version, which I assume means the mod is out of date. However, upon checking these I notice the mod is not out of date. Whenever I launch Package Manager I notice the Error message seems to randomly assign itself to different mods. What exactly is this?

Thanks

Id say you can get away with just overwriting files on an update for most mods but it would be best to remove ALL files placed by a mod before installing a new version. This includes Textures, sounds, meshes, etc. Even better use fomods and bain installers for everything else and cleaning files is a breeze.

Oh and if your talking about updating fomods, iirc the update feature removes all old files before installing new ones unless you choose to do an "in place" update (or something that sounds similar). The in place update just overwrites files with the same name and removes nothing.... iirc. lol someone call me out if Im wrong on this cause im only 70% sure about my idea on how fomods update,

The web version error is just a long dead feature Ive heard. You can disable it in the FOMM settings.
