Odd sound bug

Here's my list of mods, ordered using boss. Everything is working great save for the fact that opening a menu while near a fire source (other than an equipped torch) causes the sound of the fire to stop. The only other place I noticed this was the Unique Landscape mill north of cheydinhal. Opening inventory, wait menu or main menu causes the sound of the creek running to stop and, if inside the mill, the mill sounds to stop. This can be fixed by either reloading a game, (even if saved after the sound stops) or exiting and re-entering the cell. I just noticed this glitch, but can't say if it's existed for awhile and didn't notice. I tried removing a bunch of different mods from play, but no dice and all other sounds work fine. Not a gamebreaker by any means, but an annoyance nonetheless. I'll be away from my comp for a few days, so if I don't respond to a reply, that's why. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a basic design flaw in Oblivion and will occur whether or not you use any mods. The system used is different than the one used in Morrowind which did not have this problem. I have never heard of a fix for this issue. I don't think that there is anything that can be done about it because it is hardcoded into the game.
