ok to get to the point each time i try to install a mod with fallout mod manager it crashes but some how successfully installs them any ideas as to why it does this?

* it should read FOMM sorry for the mistake

Step by step what's going on? :o

You install New Vegas, you update new vegas, you install the latest FOMM, and attempt to install x mod.

FOMM stops responding and crashes afterward?

I did find this one post via google that /might/ help in regards to FOMM Crashing every time the person tried to install a mod through FOMM but the mod would still install and work.

From the looks of it, youve just re-installed the game?

I had the same problem last time i installed because i forgot to start up the game at least once before trying to use fomm. have u done that?

Possibly means you need to uninstall New Vegas, reinstall, run the game and play for ten minutes - close - reboot and then begin your modding adventures.

At least that's the only result I found on it.

OH .. one last thing -- make absolutely sure your running FOMM as administrator or it'd probably do something weird like that.

Also, FOMM itself recommends you install Fallout outside of the Program Files folder to prevent UAC from interfering with anything though I haven't had that issue with Win7

once i select the mod i want to install with FOMM and click ok. it begins to open the file during this operation it stops. comes up with a warning. cant remember all of it but it basically creates a crash dump file each time i install anything. should i post the dump file from the last mod i have on new vegas?
