RBrim08
Has anyone discovered a fix as to why FOMM crashes whenever you update the BOSS list? I haven't been keeping tabs on the thing, so I don't know if there has been one or not.

gibxxi
Has anyone discovered a fix as to why FOMM crashes whenever you update the BOSS list? I haven't been keeping tabs on the thing, so I don't know if there has been one or not.In my experience, the only thing that stops FOMM starting completely, is the installation of NMM. The two won't work together on the same machine, as NMM seems to edit some files in the game folder that FOMM uses. Uninstalling both won't fix the errors either, as the files these two managers create / modify don't seem to be removed when they're un-installed. NMM is still beta, doesn't work with any multi-part mods on the nexus whose required files don't end with a recognized archive extension (like FOOK2's multi-part data files) and doesn't contain half the functionality of FOMM. So for the time being I recommend not using it, or even installing it, until it's stable, and feature-complete enough as to make FOMM obsolete. As for the crashing when trying to use BOSS Update, yup, I'm getting this too. The answer would be to use the standalone version instead. It's unlikely that FOMM will recieve any more updates now. luthienanarion
I don't recommend running BOSS from inside FOMM at all. Use the standalone instead with FOMM closed, and run it again to fine-tune your load order. If you have borked your FOMM install by installing NXMM, delete this folder: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\FOMM "AppData" is set to hidden, so make sure hidden files and folders are viewable. Afterward, run FOMM and change the folders it uses from the defaults, as NXMM uses the same folders. It's one or the other on a per-game basis, and you cannot use both for New Vegas.
