loki_24_7
Can anyone tell me how to ajust the size of the window once in Windowed Mode? I choose this from options and the play screen is off to the right and down below the monitors on the bottom, ajusting the viewable space on the monitor does not correct this. And the main window is not resizable. :angry2: Thanks for the help loki

cmac
If you disable clipping and walk around, can you see the interior? If that is the problem, walk around until you are inside and then reenable clipping.
ohGr
its quite simple really, well...at first it may seem confusing, but then itll seem like ignoring half of the moderators (easy) back on topic. as of now, my desktop resolution is at 1024x768, if i played morrowind at 640x480 windowed, then it would look small since the desktop resolution is close to twice the amount, but, if i changed the desktop resolution to 800x600 and played it again, it would seem larger, why?, because thats the way resolutions work, now, if you played it 1024x768 at a desktop resolution of 1024x768, it would seem full screen, because its the same size. for another example, my friend who just got a new laptop (soon i will!) plays most of his games 14??x11??x32, now, if you played morrowind at that resolution, say goodbye to your eyesight, in fact, he is forced to wear glasses when playing at 1600x1200, and believe me, you wouldnt want to play morrowind at 2054x1568, because not many people can afford a 22' monitor to make it look good. in a conclusion....dont play it windowed, it runs slower, and looks dodgy. Marxist ßastard
I disagree. While windowed mode is slower, does not allow for in-game adjustment of your gamma, and is just so "conveniently" placed, it does dramatically reduce most jagged edges, give the apperance of a much larger resolution, and allow much easier switching between windows. To resize the window, you must go into the Options menu from the launcher and select a resolution there. To move the window, you must either wait until an error message appears or try to generate one yourself. The error will allow you to move the cursor beyond the window and move it normally. loki_24_7
Thank you all for the help I will try all of what you said, I don't know what or were to enable or disable clipping how ever. Is this in the options menue on start up of the game or do I need to edit the .ini file to do this? Thanks again. Loki,
Faust870
This MAY work for getting it to work in windowmode..- Right click on your morrowind shortcut, select properties - There should be a text box called Target - It should say where morrowind is located on your computer, after the final quotation mark, press space and put -wThat should work! Example - "C:\Program Files\Morrowind\morrowind.exe" -w
Marxist ßastard
*Marxist ßastard slaps his face and groans in a manner that is just slightly sarcastic* My, oh my! Why didn't I think of that! It has almost zero chance of working, but 'tis so much easier than simply going into the Options menu from the launcher and putting a checkbox on... loki_24_7
Hello All, Well none of the above work. Yes you can choose options and ajust the resolution that was the first thing I had done and I went back and tried all different types of resolutions, on two different systems with two different configurations. And it does place Morrowind in a Window. The problem is that it is not a playable window! The reason for this on both systems that I have tried this on say my systems resolution is 1024x 768, and I set the game resolution in options to either 1152x864, or 1288x960 the window is pushed off the screen in two places, the top and the left hand side. Do to Morrowind not following Windows standards, there is no bar to drag the window around with to ajust the window to make it playable. Also not being able to move the mouse in or out of the window and having to rely on the Alt+Tab method makes it so you can not freely move between other applications. You get stuck if you don't have another application open first to Alt+Tab to! Unless you use Cntrl+Alt+Del and then you can move to open another app or move around the desktop. Ive come to the conclusion that the Windowed Mode Option is not realy and option at all. But more of a poorly implemented feature that would have been a good idea had some one in development of Morrowind thought it through before adding the option in the first place. :ranting: Loki
