shinobi2008
This might be a bit late for me to ask you guys but I'll do it anyway. :pinch: :ermm: Someone probably asked this question before but please bear with me. I'm currently using Exnem's female bodyreplacer with my character but I want to switch to HGEC because it seems that is the mainly supported replacer mod. :wallbash: So here's a question: can I just droop the HGEC meshes file into the data folder or would that conflict with the one I'm using? Do I need to replace my skeleton and textures also? o_O I believe I did that once before and it turned out to be ugly so I don't want to go through that again. o_O Meaning, the NPC body was messed up due to missing meshes. How can I do this correctly without causing headaches? Please any advice or comment on this matter would be appreciated.
MShoap13
First fully uninstall Exnem's following the instructions in the read me, manually verify that all of it's assets are gone before moving on (use the archive as a reference and compare it to what's in your \Data\ folder). Second, boot up Oblivion and make a new save game for each of your characters (this step probably isn't necessary but it's best to err on the side of caution). Third, follow the instruction for whatever HGEC body you choose (I personally recommend EVE Variants as it's easy to install and all inclusive but it eats the most space on your hard drive). Make sure any requirements for HGEC are also installed. I personally recommend using High Rez Textures for HGEC as well, it gets rid of some ugly body seems and smooths out the splotchy green and orange on peoples faces. Edit: I believe any clothing mods you've got installed for Exnems are technically compatible with HGEC as HGEC is based off of Exnem's, but if there's an HGEC version of them available I'd recommend using them instead as they will reflect the changes made to Exnem's by HGEC.
