I have a BIG problem.

When I'm at Oblivion's main menu and I put Continue/Load, the game ends and I return to the Desktop. I f...ing revised the Data folder and i can't find any problem - I unistalled ALL the mods and deleted the Data folder. Then i installed ALL the mods - and Oblivion, and Shivering Isles, and all Knights of the Nine DVD - again, but that damn thing doesn't work!

 

Yesterday, there was no problem - when i put the mods problmestarted.I installed 9 mods yesterday - some of them were very famous, like Apophis Armor and NPC with Jobs - but there were some unknown mods. WTF should i do now?

I'm not sure, but it sounds to me like you said you deleted the data folder, then reinstalled Oblivion. What you should do is uninstall Oblivion WITHOUT deleting anything first, then do a new install, try it and see if it works. If it does, install one of your mods, try that and see if it works. Then install a second mod, etc etc.

 

If one of them doesn't work, use OBMM to check that it doesn't conflict with any of the others, if it does, you'll have to disable either it or one of the mods it conflicts with. If it doesn't, post your entire mod list here, and I'll have a look at it and see what I can do.

I did uninstalled Oblivion before deleting the Data folder. I think one of those not famous mods - that are cool, but full of errors - did that problem.

Oh, okay. I must have misread your post somewhere.

 

It sounds to me like one of your mods has done something to the chargen script- or maybe two mods make changes to it, but are conflicting. Use OBMM, and check for conflicts. If that doesn't help, disable tham all, test it, then enable them one at a time, testing each time, and hopefully you can find out which ones are causing the problem. If you still can't fix it, post your load order here (you can see it in OBMM), and maybe someone here'll know what mods are causing it.

hey im kind of having the same problem. For some reason none of the mods i used to use work since i have installed shivering isles. I also used to have Armor of Apohis mod and it worked fine before this. now when i try to put on the armor my character goes invisible. I had another mod where i had to get the armor off of a dead npc. when i went to kill the npc (this mod is called GP Dark Assassin btw) he was in the form of a large yellow block....wtf? Is this because Shivering Isles updated textures or something? I also have the latest patch. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated of just point me to somewhere that can help me fix this problem. Thanks

Of course, Shivering Isles! Why didn't I think of that? The 1.2 patch is incompatible with quite a few mods, and that gets installed with SI. Also, SI itself is incompatible with many mods as well.

 

@deth72korp: If the big yellow block had a black exclamation mark on it, then it means it can't find the mesh for that object. Try doing archiveinvalidation, and trying again. If it still doesn't work, chances are its incompatible with either 1.2 or SI.

This is an English forum, I don't think anyone else here speaks Russian... but from an online translator, it sounded like you were trying to say that the game runs better on more powerful computers. If you read the first post, he said that it used to work fine before he installed the mods, so chances are they're whats causing the problem.
