RolandRoberts
There is a Pre-Release now available for a Morrowind Work-in-Progress Utility downloadable from the Planet Elder Scrolls (PES) web site. The utility is called the Morrowind Mod Grid Use Map (aka MMGUM) and it will assist modders with determining what other mods affect what exterior grids in the Morrowind/Bloodmoon game world when it is released. This will allow modders to minimize conflicts for exterior “real estate” with other mods when modding for Morrowind. As part of the data collection to determine all mods that have exterior cell uses for mods downloadable from PES (and capture the specific cells changed), data was also collected on whether the mod could pass a “clean” test of free from:1) The 11 Tribunal, 61 Bloodmoon or 72 both “evil” GMSTs present in mod2) The 14 or 19 common “dirty” cells due to merging mods present in mod3) The initial default location when loading a mod into the TES construction set (CS) indicates it is changed BUT there are no new references in that exterior cell4) Test cells left in mod5) Deleted references left in mod6) Other unusual items present in mod that will require cleaning review The Pre-Release that is now available provides information on the mods that could not pass this test, as well as the mods that did pass this test. It also establishes a Pre-Release Cleanup Period where modders can fix these problems to avoid having their mod listed as unclean when MMGUM is finally released. This Pre-Release can be downloaded here.
