how do you lock an item in position?

I've iust started to tinker with the CS and do the inevitable house mod.

So i've set some bows etc.. in weapon racks and can't see a way of locking them in place so they don't get knocked down when npcs walk by. (they're only for display).

Its probably staring at me but i can't see it. Not getting any joy from wiki or forum search either so if anyone can spare a minute, even if it's just to say, 'it cannee be done, it's against the laws of physics, Jim!' it would be appreciated. cheers.

In my experience, putting a collision box over a non-static item sends it flying (its like trying to stand inside a rock or something, can't happen right). What you could do is make a new activator with the same mesh and name as the bow. This should make it static (I think) and also make it so nobody can take it.

Thanks for replying. Doesn't sound like the solution is as simple as i thought it would be. I guess this is how people learn but after much messing around it's not happening. There really should be static versions of all the weapons in the CS. Its not just that i don't want myself or other NPCs bumping into them, when i load a game near them or even pick one up they all fly off the racks. WEAK!
