Delete my forum account

There's a random bloke on there who keeps trying to recover the password for this account. As you can probably tell, I don't even browse these forums so I thought I should be nice and maybe let him have this username.

 

Is there anyway to delete this account and anything related to it so that someone else can sign up with it?

 

I've got the bloke's IP address if you want to try and track him down.

If you want to report someone, report it to the moderators or admin using the personal messaging system.

 

The nexus never deletes accounts, only bans them.

 

So if you intend on leaving the nexus forever, click the little report button under your name and request to be banned :)

Unfortunately we do not delete accounts or clear up names, even if you are not active on the forums. If you wish, we can ban your account so that you won't get any more password recovery spam. That is about the most we'll do due to complications with changing names or whatever activity you might have had in the past. The person interested in your username likely registered with another, or one similar, and merely forgot which name they were using.

Fair enough, I was just trying to be nice to him really. This is my 3rd post on these forums since 2005!

I'll leave it active since you never know what will happen in the future...
