Face editing during vampirism

As many of you know, when you try to load a save game with a vampire character, oftentimes it resets the default male regardless of gender. This is easily bypassed by loading another save before it. However, this reset also happens when you showracemenu to edit your face when your character is infected with vampirism. Obviously, since you're trying to edit that face, reloading wouldn't help. Is this any way to temporarily turn vampirism off just when you want to showracemenu and automatically turn it back on when you leave that menu? Also, what happens when you use Face Exchange Lite on a vampire? I didn't put this into the mod requests sub-forum because some of this requires open discussion rather than a mere request.
