silverbluemoon
Ok, so I am re-installing my mods because I've been having texture problems and many mods overwrite the textures of the others. For instance, i desperately want to know the order I should install my body mods and the Armamentarium, Artifacts, and COBL Races mods in addition. Should the install order look like this: COBLCOBL Cosmetic Resources MAINArtifactsArmamentariumArmamentarium Resources MAINExnem's Eye CandyExnem's Stock Clothing and ArmorHGEC BodyHGEC Stock Clothing and ArmorEVE Stock Clothing and ArmorRobert's Male v5Misc Hi Res Texture Files for HGEC and RM, incl Khajiit and Argonian BeautificationTHEN INSTALL:COBL Races Resource for Eye CandyCOBL Races Resource for RMEVE for ArtifactsEVE for ArmamentariumArmamentarium for RM -OR- does it simply not matter if textures and meshes over write the items in COBL Races and Armamentarium and therefore it doesn't matter if i install them before or after any relelvant body mods? How do you get them to work in your game? Tell me what's worked for you?? I will be your bff. :D
Keirgarth
I am no expert, but aren't you getting conflicts by installing both Exnem's and HGEC? I thought that HGEC included the eyecandy mod. I have installed Arma, Cobl, HGEC and EVE and they work well together, but I installed Arma first, then COBL, HGEC and finally EVE. Once installed, before I did anything else I ran BOSS to sort the load order and followed the directions for Wrye Bash to get them all to behave properly. I said they work well together, though there is 1 issue that I have left. I am unable to see my own characters chest armor on my arms in first person. Other than that, it all is working flawlessly. I thought that HGEC required Exnem's Base? As for that install order, it sounds good to me. From what you're saying, it doesn't matter if the body mods textures overwrite the arma and other mod textures. This is good news! I would love other confirmations though! And that is strange about the first person cuirass armor not showing up in 1st Person... hmm.
DrakeTheDragon
One version of HGEC was meshes only and thus required Exnem's for the textures. However, since EVE I've heard this is no longer the case. I think it can't hurt first installing Exnem's then HGEC afterwards, but only if the EVE project isn't telling differently already. What looks a little like unneccesary work though is the installation of 3 times the same (as in mutual exclusive) Stock Replacers. First Exnem's, then HGEC (which replaces all Exnem's), then EVE (which from what I know contains both) just doesn't sound necessary to me. It'd be best to refer to the EVE project documentation to read what all of these this one provides itself already. I think EVE even includes the body mods also. :ermm: If EVE was installed last and then the cuirass does not show in 1st person, it's likely the NIF coming from EVE wasn't done properly for showing up in 1st person. But this is only guessing now.
Keirgarth
@Silverbluemoon: Hope you get it figured out as I really like the mods myself and really don't like playing the game without them :) @DrakeTheDragon: Funny thing about the tunic that is causing me the issues is that it was from vanilla oblivion and showed until I enchanted it, then it disappeared.
