m1nt3a
So I use FO3 Nexus and FONV Nexus quite often to find mods, and for some mods (such as killable kids) I need to have "adult" content enabled to view them. I'm fine with that because as we all know it is a scientific fact that no one under the age of 18 has the intellectual capacity to understand such material, and therefore Nexus sites dont force anyone to see it if they don't want to/are not intellectually developed enough to understand, otherwise children would definitley kill kids in real life after headshotting one in VATS. I download mods that allow me to kill children and trip balls on cave fungus, but when I go to the clothing section to look for things to make my character look decently attractive, it is very hard to find them because the clothing section has a lot of mods that are pornographic/sexual in nature, many of which use a body/mesh I believe is called type 3 (I've learned to avoid clicking on those mods). The pornographic/sexual/sexy clothing is not only annoying, it takes up A LOT of the clothing section, and prevents me from easily finding attractive, yet non-sexual/pornographic clothing for my character. Even if the file name doesn't suggest the outfit is skimpy, it often is. I think it would be awesome if there was an option to show/hide sexual/pornographic mods because while I understand that there are people who enjoy getting aroused while playing Fallout and I wouldn't want to take that away from them, I find it very annoying when I'm trying to find cute outfits of my vault-dweller/courier, and instead I get results for strap-ons and naked 14 year old girl body meshes. (and there are A LOT of these things). I like strap-ons as much as anyone, but I don't like them while playing Fallout. Just a suggestion. And the only problem for people who like their NPCs nude would be easily solved by enabling pornographic/sexual content in their profile. Maybe when a modder uploads a pair of assless chaps they could check a box saying their mod contains sexual/pornographic content, and then people who dont want to RP as sexy cowboys wouldn't see such clothing. As for the definition of "sexual/pornographic", if it contains exposed genitals (besides nipples on males due to societal norms), or is intended to arouse the player/viewer, or is something that a playboy model would be shot wearing then it is considered sexual/pornographic. I think it's a good idea, but maybe I'm biased. Any other opinions on this? And if this topic is miscategorized then tell me and I'll move it. Glenstorm
Have you tried turning on the Adult Filter and then browsing the clothing section? I don't care for the boner inducing clothing in my game either, what I do is to go to the Top 100 (of all time)(non-adult only) mods and then choose the Clothing (or Armor) category. thiafy
Honestly, I think this is a good idea. I'm a bit middle-of-the-road on this -- I don't mind some pretty nudity in my games, but on the other hand, I don't play video games to get sexually aroused. Not Oblivion, anyways, Lmao. It sounds like Fallout has even more of this sort of stuff than Oblivion, so if what you're saying is true, then that would definitely be a solution -- I don't think anyone would disagree that assless chaps are "sexual" in nature. :) Even just leaving it completely up to the individual modder would still catch enough of the content under that heading that you wouldn't be inundated with it, and people who want to be inundated with it can choose to be so. My only concern is the practical side -- how easy it is for the site to implement something like this. Some sites get tetchy about having too many categories, which is understandable. edit: ... Actually, an option in Advanced Search to turn off adult content for that specific search would cover it. There's an option for only adult content -- just add one for none, so Clothing can be specifically searched for under that heading. m1nt3a
@GlenstormThat's a great idea and I'll try it so thanks for your help, but I still think that there should be another option for sexual/pornographic mods though I guess that's something only the mods/admin can help with. Thank you ^_^ EDIT: Actually I just tried doing that and I get links to stuff like this. And While you can't quite make out her labia under those shorts, underboob isn't what I'm looking for. But I guess I expected too much of this site. My mistake I'll stop complaining now. @thiafyI'll start doing advanced searches so that covers up the problem. Thanks. EDIT: lol I didn't see the option for non-adult content then I realized I had misread your post. Nvm lol. adamanweiler
I ended up downloading dimonized type 3 just because I didn't like everyone walking around dirty all the time. (dirty face, arms, etc) That took care of the females, and for the males I got breezes, with underware on. (there are several different versions.) I personally don't get off to playing fallout 3 with nudity, but it was the only way to clean up the people. That being said, I have found a mod that does clean up some people in the game. Unfortunatly I don't remember what it was called but it works well with Real time settler. so then I removed type 3 and breezes male body. I think i was called pretty face,or faces, not sure, but it did work. As far as the clothing, there was a mod I used for a little while, but the textures didn't match the body correctly, it was.....ummmmm prom dress??? I delete mods that I don't use otherwise my files would not be understandable. I see if I can find those names for you if you want. The one that works with real time settler is calles 'faces and names' creative name huh. Edited September 2, 2011 by adamanweiler
